WOW

WELL, I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY FOLLOWERS OTHER THAN 2. SO I DOUBT THAT I HAVE KEPT ANYONE IN SUSPENSE. I NOW LIVE WITH MY GRANDMOTHER-IN-LAW IN WASHINGTON, AND I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A JOB SINCE THE ONE AT NORCOM DIDN'T REALLY PAN OUT. I DID MAKE AN AWESOME FRIEND! AT LEAST THAT IS A PLUS. THIS PAST WEEKEND WE HAD A SMALL FAMILY REUNION FOR THE SHERRY SIDE OF THE FAMILY, AND SOME OF THE BENOIT FAMILY MEMBERS CAME TOO. I HAVE A TEST TOMORROW FOR VALLEY COMM SO I WILL NEED SOME PRAYERS GOING UP ON MY BEHALF THAT I PASS THE TEST AND MAYBE GET THE JOB. THIS WEEKEND, I WILL BE HEADING UP TO THE NORTHERN PAR OF WASHINGTON, THE SEDRO-WOOLEY AREA, FOR A BABY SHOWER FOR KENNA. I THINK IT WILL BE KIND OF ODD ACTUALLY ATTENDING A BABY SHOWER THAT I DIDN'T PLAN OR WORK ON. I HAVE STARTED BAKING TO PASS THE TIME, MAYBE THAT SHOULD BE MY NEW JOB...A BAKER. I FOUND THAT I ACTUALLY ENJOY IT AND I HAVE RECENTLY MADE SOME FRUIT AND VEGGIE CUPCAKES/MUFFINS, TURTLE BROWNIES AND A VERY GOOD CONCOCTION OF A BANANA CAKE. THERE WILL BE MORE TO COME ON THE BAKING FRONT BECAUSE I HAVE SEVERAL IDEAS. WELL THAT'S ABOUT IT FOR NOW, I HAVE TO GET BUSY CLEANING AND SEARCHING FOR SOME JOBS!

ummmmm

Well, I am here, in Washington, for the second week looking for a job. We have had an awesome time this week. Later today, we are going for a walk along the waterfront since we are having wonderful weather today. Yvonne and I went to the Pike's Place Market yesterday. We had too much of a good time! We bought all kinds of different foods, and have started experimenting woth them! Kassandra, I have a great recipe for you to try!!! Well, thanks for all of your prayers and good luck wishes on the job hunt. I don't believe that God would bring me this far for nothing!

Been A While

Well, I know that it's been a while, but I'm finally getting a chance to blog. I have been so busy, I haven't had time to do anything! As of today, I am currently in Washington. I got in last night around 10:30 Washington time. I went to my first interview today at the Sumner PD. I think that it went pretty well, keep your fingers crossed and the prayers going up. Sumner only has 1 position available at this time with several applicants including myself. It seems to be the prime job for me and in the perfect area that I want to be. We (my grandmother-in-law Helen and I) went out and looked at a couple of apartments in the area as well. Wednesday, I have a test for NORCOM, they hire for several agencies, and if I get a 70% on the test then I will attend an interview with them on Thursday! Hopefully by the time that I leave Friday I will know something on the job front. Well, that's about it for tonight. We are about to get in our jamies and watch a little "Julie and Julia".

Today has been a YAY! kind of day

Well, YAY! I have not been to my weight doctor since before Christmas, and I also ran out of my prescription. I went in today, and despite all of the JUNK that I have been eating, I managed to lose 3 lbs.! Yeah, yeah, 3 lbs., big deal, right? it is to me!! I also qualified for my reward. Monday I am going in to have a free Microdermabrasion session. Go ME!! I think that the next reward that I get will be the free B12/Lipodissolve shots. That is if I'm still here. The other part of the YAY! is that I received an email today from NORCOM. NROCOM is an emergency agency that I applied for out in Washington. Remember, NO JOB = NO MOVING! So I heard back from them today, my typing test is tomorrow, and as soon as I get the certificate to verify my typing skills (10 wpm), I am going to fax it in. I have already put in a request for my days off so that I can go out to Washington. If they are approved (they should be) I will be contacting Tami and setting up my interview date! While I am out there for that week, Helen (my grandmother-in-law) and I are going to look at apartments as well as maybe some other prospective places of employment. So, keep our fingers crossed and the prayers going up!

SAVE ME!

Well, once again it has been a bit since I last blogged. I have been so busy. I got everything sent out for three jobs that I am applying for in Washington. Today, I applied for two other jobs that I am actually over qualified for through Career Builder.com. They stated on the site to call after you submit your online application. So....I called. The lady told me to keep visiting the site and looking at/applying for jobs, but to actually give them a call when I was actually in Washington. How dumb. why would i look and apply for jobs on your site when you aren't going to even consider me until I actually move. I know that some people just move without having anything really secure in the new living area. I'm NOT those people!!!! I have priorities and obligations! I am not moving anywhere until I have secured a job and preferably a place to live. Maybe I can get away without my own place right off but NOT without a job! NO JOB = NO MOVING!!!! So that's where I am as of right now. Not a fun place to be....especially since we wanted to be there around April if we went.

Too much to do, too little time

Well, it seems that this has been just another day in the neighborhood. Tomorrow we will be going through the house and deciding what to sell or keep, and I suppose "pricing" things. Woo-hoo, fun, fun, fun. After that or maybe before, we were thinking about going to look at cars. I think I have decided on the Nissan Versa. I'm still not 100% though. We were originally talking about maybe a larger car or small SUV. The versa is about the same size as my Cavalier, it may even be smaller. I know for a fact that it's great on gas though! In June '09 some doofus idiot backed into my car and left, well they messed it up pretty good and I had to get a rental. The insurance company got me a Nissan Versa. The weekend of our anniversary, we decided to go with my cousin over to Mississippi. We filled up $20 and left headed to Bilouxi. We made it there on that one tank and a $10 top off as a just in case. We spent the weekend riding around and visiting a friend of my cousin and her family. We left and came home on once again on $20 and a $10 top off. The only thing is the size. I don't want to go from one small car to another one that's possibly even smaller. So, I guess tomorrow will be full of driving and comparing vehicles and going through all of my things. Spring will be here before we know it, so I've got to get busy. I still have to find a job there, a place to live, Brent's school, and who knows what else. On top of that, I still have to take care of everything here. It sounds easier than it is, believe me. It's pretty complicated trying to find a job, place to live and all that when you are about 3000 miles away. So, Good Luck to me!
